As we live longer and longer, more and more of us eventually need to move into some sort of assisted living facility or nursing home. Or, if not that, at least we may need some home health care or other assistance living at home. This page is about what options exist for that in Prince William County, Virginia.
Really, we all go through stages in life where different living arrangements work best for us. Some people choose to live their whole lives in their own home and never move into an assisted living situation. However, I think it's fair to say that most people who do move into an assisted living facility of some sort - or at least get some home health care assistance -- are happy they did that. And, so are their loved ones who otherwise would have to provide that support themselves or feel guilty for not doing so.
Getting some help as we grow older and having some obstacles removed from our daily life (like maintaining a home, preparing healthy meals, etc) can free us up to live a more engaged and stimulating life doing things we enjoy with other people.
What's best for you will depend on a myriad of individual factors. One important issue will be whether you can afford a nursing home; whether you qualify for medicaid, etc. You can learn more about that at Medicaid Questions.
